The battery extrusion acupuncture machine is designed to simulate the extrusion and puncture scenarios that various batteries might encounter during usage, transportation, storage, or waste disposal. For the extrusion test, the battery must undergo a single squeeze event, qualifying only if no explosion or fire occurs.
The acupuncture test is conducted in a controlled environment at 20°C ± 5°C. The battery is secured flat on the fixture, and a non-corrosive steel needle (diameter of Φ 3mm to Φ 8mm) is inserted into the center of the battery surface at a speed ranging from 10 mm/s to 40 mm/s. After holding for a specified duration, the results are observed. The battery qualifies if there is no explosion and no fire.
